Vivino is a wine app. It lets you scan a wine bottle to read its label. Vivino then displays all the details about that bottle of wine and helps you choose your wine well. The Vivino app makes life easier for all wine lovers. With this app, no more worries. From searching for wines to buying them and storing them, you’ll know everything about your precious bottles. Created in July 2011, this app is now the largest wine marketplace and the most downloaded wine app in the world. In 2019, the app claimed a database containing more than 10 million different wines and 35 million users. The reviews left on Vivino are an incredible resource! They let you choose your wine with complete peace of mind, helped by millions of users. Naturally, Vivino is indeed available in France. The Vivino API is also widely used. It’s fed by all the comments and ratings left by users. So it makes it possible to build analysis tools of very high quality. Finally, while a Vivino Premium offer was available, it has been stopped. The customers who had subscribed to it were, however, able to keep enjoying its benefits (and in particular free delivery) until the end of their subscription.

Scanning a wine bottle with Vivino
It’s also possible to scan the label of a wine bottle directly in the app. It then takes care of identifying the wine and giving you access to its profile. To do so, you just have to click the camera-shaped button and scan the label directly. So we tried to scan the label of Domaine de la Solitude, an excellent Pessac-Léognan wine that we recommend. The app correctly detected the right wine and immediately displayed its profile, giving us access to all the information. So we tested the Pago de Carraovejas, a wine from Ribera del Duero that you can get hold of in particular at Vinissimus. Buying wine
Beyond searching for wine bottles, Vivino has many other features. Indeed, this wine app also lets you buy wine online. Buying a wine on Vivino is extremely easy. To do so, the app automatically looks for the best offer from online sellers. You can then pay for your purchase directly from the app and have the wine delivered to your home!
Creating a profile
It’s also possible to create a profile directly on the app. You’ll then be able to access a backup of the wines you’ve scanned and the notes you’ve left. Have you just bought a wine, or has someone just given you a lovely bottle? You can then add a wine to your cellar on Vivino. Indeed, Vivino allows cellar management! You’ll have the list of wines you own directly on your phone, you’ll be able to keep an eye on their proper storage, and you’ll be sure to taste them at the right moment. So Vivino tells you when a wine reaches its peak, letting you taste the wine at the right moment. You’ll also find indications on the product profiles about storing the wine so you can enjoy it when the time comes. As you’ll have understood, Vivino is packed with features that should please wine lovers. Set off to discover them by downloading the app on your smartphone.
