Once that is done, leave the stain to soak in milk for more than an hour. The proteins in the milk react with the composition of the wine. The wine stain normally disappears on its own. If it doesn’t, you can also brush the fabric. Ideally, leave the fabric to soak until the milk turns pink.
Oven cleaner
If the wine stain is dry and on a white fabric, you can use oven cleaner. Simply spray the oven cleaner on the wine stain and brush. The effect should be very quick and the red wine stain gone!
White wine and baking soda
An effective method for cleaning a red wine stain is to use white wine and baking soda. This method works very well on an already-dry wine stain. Start by pouring the white wine on the stain. Then add baking soda. Leave it to sit for a few hours. You can wash the fabric again and the wine stain will be gone! It should be noted that you can also use a mix of lemon and baking soda to remove a wine stain.
Using cleansing milk
Dip a cotton pad in cleansing milk. Then dab the red wine stain with it. The stain should gradually disappear. You can then wash the fabric, in cold water of course, to stop the stain from setting! This method also works with ammonia but it’s harsher.
