French wine map + Bordeaux wine map (set of 2)

€55

The whole country and its most famous region, two 50 x 70 cm maps for €55 instead of €64.

Heads up: the print is in French for now (regions, appellations, grape varieties). An English edition is on the way.

Made on demand · ships in 4-7 days

The French map shows you where Bordeaux sits in the country. The Bordeaux map shows you what is going on inside it. Each one makes the other easier to read, so we put them together.

This set pairs our French wine map with our Bordeaux wine map: two full-size 50 x 70 cm posters, the same prints we sell on their own, for €55 instead of €64.

The big picture and the close-up

The French wine map lays out all 14 wine regions of France, drawn to scale, each with its signature grapes. It is the one that makes it click why a Syrah from the northern Rhône tastes nothing like one from the south, and where Bordeaux sits relative to Burgundy, the Loire or the Languedoc.

The Bordeaux wine map then zooms all the way in: the left bank and the right bank, the Médoc communes, Saint-Émilion and its satellites, Pomerol, Graves, Pessac-Léognan, Sauternes and Barsac, each appellation outlined with its grapes and the classifications that shape the region.

Hang them side by side and you can follow a bottle from the country down to the commune.

Why they work as a pair

  • Same size, same paper, same style. Both are 50 x 70 cm on the same matte archival stock, so they hang as a matching set.
  • One reads the other. The French map tells you which region a wine comes from, the Bordeaux map tells you which bank, which commune and which grapes lead the blend.
  • A gift that covers the whole story. For a claret lover, it goes from the country to the commune, and shipping is charged once.

Printed to last

We print on 200 gsm uncoated matte, archival paper with a soft, premium feel and no glare under a lamp. The inks are giclée-quality and fade-resistant, so they still look right years from now. Both arrive rolled, ready for standard 50 x 70 cm frames.

Every map is printed on demand and shipped from the production facility nearest you, so nothing sits in a warehouse and shipping stays short.

Learn the map while you hang it

Our guide to Bordeaux’s wine classifications and our visit to Château Haut-Bailly in Pessac-Léognan are good companions to this set.

Prefer one map at a time? The French wine map and the Bordeaux wine map are also sold on their own. Going for Burgundy instead? There is a French + Burgundy set too.

Frequently asked questions

What exactly is in the set?

Two full-size posters: our French wine map, with all 14 wine regions and their grapes, and our Bordeaux wine map, with every appellation from the Médoc to Sauternes. They are the same prints we sell individually, just paired at a better price.

How much do I save with the set?

Each map is €32 on its own, so the pair would be €64. The set is €55, which saves you €9, and shipping is charged once for the order.

Are the maps in French or English?

Both maps are drawn and labelled in French, the way the regions, appellations and grapes are named at home. Most of what matters reads the same in any language: Bordeaux, Médoc, Pomerol, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon.

Do they come framed?

No. Each poster is 50 x 70 cm (about 20 x 28 in), the standard large poster size, so they drop straight into any off-the-shelf 50 x 70 frames. We ship them rolled to keep them safe in transit.

How long does shipping take?

Each map is printed on demand and shipped from the production facility nearest you, then delivered in about 4 to 7 days. Europe is 6 euros, North America 12 euros.
