A few days ago, we had the chance to visit 228 litres, a wine bar in the 9th arrondissement of Paris. Here we share our impressions, to introduce it to you. Whatever the case, this superb wine bar will not disappoint you. The wine selection there is incredible, the boards delightful and the decor top notch. Opened at the start of 2019, it is a real gem that we are introducing to you. In short, this wine bar in South Pigalle has everything it takes to become a future haunt for wine lovers. !Glass and interior of 228 litres: a wine bar in Paris
The cellar of 228 litres
First of all, the cellar of this establishment on rue Victor Massé is particularly well stocked. 228 litres has the advantage of being “vinified by iDealwine”. As a result, the wine bar enjoys an excellent wine selection that we will tell you about in more detail in our podcast. The establishment offers many wines, both in terms of geography and of winemaking methods, grape varieties and prices. In other words, you will be sure to find the wine that suits you. It is worth noting that some wines are also available by the glass. There is plenty here to enjoy an excellent tasting without holding back. For our part, we tasted two wines:
- A Chiroubles 2017, “Les Bourrons” by Damien Coquelet: genuinely excellent, this wine expresses a very present fruit that will delight you.
- Tenuta Migliavacca, Barbera del Monferrato Superiore: an Italian wine, a little more tannic and structured than the previous one but above all with an incredible balance. Here is a wine to discover as a matter of urgency!

You will find wines for every budget: from a bottle at a little over 20 euros up to 400 euros. The wine bar’s staff will also be at your disposal to help you choose the wine you will prefer.
On the food side: helpings of plates and boards
On the food side, you will find excellent boards and plates at 228 litres, for a price between 12 euros for the smallest sizes and 20 euros for the largest assortments. For our part, we chose a large cheese plate as well as a large charcuterie plate to accompany our evening. While the composition of the plates could have been more varied and a touch more generous, we loved the quality products on them. The cheeses and the charcuterie were quite simply excellent. So there is no doubt about it, you will have a treat with these lovely little boards. There is plenty here for a great evening with friends. !Charcuterie board and cheese board at 228 litres in Paris
